Psychotherapy is more likely to be a valuable experience for you if you find a therapist you feel comfortable talking to and believe can help you. I hope this website gives you an initial sense of who I am and whether I might be helpful to you. I tend to work well with people wanting to understand themselves better and address the problems bringing them to therapy from the inside out. I often work with adults seeking treatment for issues like childhood trauma, difficulties establishing and maintaining fulfilling interpersonal relationships, and longstanding emotional suffering. A large part of my practice is with queer people seeking affirming and meaningful psychotherapy with a therapist interested in gender, sexual, and relational diversity.​

In the type of therapy I practice, psychoanalytic psychotherapy (aka psychodynamic therapy), we work together to help you better understand yourself, improve how you relate to others, and increase your capacity to think, feel, and dream. I also offer psychoanalysis, the most intensive form of psychotherapy well suited for anyone interested in deeper self-exploration and psychological change that grows beyond the end of treatment. For mental health professionals, I am available for clinical supervision, consultation, and training.
